“Finding my way at Stefanini has been transformative. I’m grateful to be part of a culture and work environment that fosters both personal and professional growth.
Recently, I came across a quote in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s book Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life that struck a chord with me. It wasn’t just inspiring; it made me realize that I had unknowingly been following this advice all along: ‘Go back to when you were under 10 years old, remember what you loved doing most, and think about how you could make it your goal, make a plan, and follow the plan.’
Looking back, I realize that’s exactly what happened to me. At one point, I felt lost, drifting without a clear goal. Yet, I kept gravitating toward the things I loved as a child—playing with cameras and spending endless hours on the computer.
I want to share my journey as a testament to what’s possible when you find the right company that aligns with your goals.
In 2005, at just 14, I was a rebellious BMX rider with big dreams—filming stunts and dreaming of a future in IT, design, photography, and videography. I even built my first website using Photoshop and Macromedia Dreamweaver to showcase my work, and I actively shared my creations on various forums. Though life took me down various paths—working as a pizza chef, bartender, and eventually joining Orange Romania—I never lost sight of my true passion.
After a successful 7-year career in sales, including a few years as a store manager, my love for photography resurfaced. This passion led me to start my own company, ALPIX VISUAL STUDIO, in 2019, focusing on B2B product photography and commercial videography. Today, I’m proud to be recognized as one of the top creatives in Targu-Mures.
My journey came full circle when I joined Stefanini in 2019 (this month it will be my 5th year here)—a decision that has propelled my career to new heights. Today, I’m living what I wanted as a teenager, combining my creative passions with professional success.
Joining Stefanini was a pivotal moment in realizing my long-held dreams. I started as a Support Engineer, but my journey quickly accelerated during the COVID-19 pandemic when I was given the chance to work on a challenging new project, despite limited resources and knowledge. Thanks to this opportunity presented by my Service Delivery Manager, I dove deep into O365. With continuous support from colleagues, team leaders, and my project manager, I quickly advanced to become an O365 Support Engineer.
Stefanini’s culture of continuous learning and development was key to my growth. I invested countless hours outside of work, leveraging resources like Percipio, LinkedIn Learning, Udemy, Pluralsight, and Microsoft Learn to master O365. This dedication led to a promotion to O365 Engineer Level 2, where I encountered a turning point.
During a night shift in April 2021, I began developing a PowerShell solution to automate tasks, with no knowledge of programming, scripting, or anything of the sort—in just 1 year, that project grew into a 9,000-line codebase, reducing task completion time by 50% and being used by my whole team.
Stefanini’s openness to innovation and personal growth offered me the chance to present my solution to leadership, which ultimately led to my current role as a developer. Now, I focus on Azure Automations and continue to expand my skills in .NET and C#. It also gives me the opportunity to learn new technologies by working cross-department with different colleagues. Testimony to this is the most recent knowledge I’ve acquired in developing in ServiceNow with JavaScript.
I continuously aim to be better than I was yesterday, always striving to develop impactful automations that provide value to our customers—and so far, I’ve always been able to rise above expectations. This role is not just a job; it’s the realization of a dream I’ve had as a child when I first envisioned my future in IT and creative services.
Stefanini has been instrumental in helping me reach this point. The company’s support, openness to innovation, and commitment to employee well-being and growth have, combined with my relentless pursuit of knowledge, allowed me to excel as both a software developer and a creative entrepreneur. Today, I’m fortunate to be living out not just one, but two of my childhood passions—photography/videography and software development. Stefanini has provided the platform to turn these dreams into reality, and for that, I am incredibly grateful.”
