The latest report from Gartner® titled ‘We Shape AI, AI Shapes Us: 2023 IT Symposium/Xpo Keynote Insights’ has found that isolating technological decisions related to artificial intelligence increases the risk of ethical, social, and financial implications.
In the 2023 Gartner Innovation Trends Survey, 61% of respondents indicated AI was incorporated in their innovation. But in the 2023 Gartner AI Survey, less than half (47%) of CIOs and technology leaders said they are confident their organization will be able to mitigate the risks of AI.

Gartner details key findings and recommendations for three strategic planning assumptions:
By 2025, generative AI will be a workforce partner for 90% of companies globally.
By 2030, 80% of humans will engage with smart robots on a daily basis.
By 2028, more than 50% of enterprises that have built their own large language models (LLMs) from scratch will abandon their efforts due to costs, complexity and technical debt.
