"Gartner says: Retail and Consumer Goods Businesses Should Invest in Digital Capabilities."

Gartner’s annual CEO and Senior Business Executive Survey report, titled "2020 Gartner CEO Survey: Retail and Consumer Goods,” has found that digital capabilities will be the top area of investment for CEOs in the retail and consumer goods sectors.
The 2020 edition of the study has also found that significant change could be on the horizon. The study reveals that consumer goods organizations are more focused on new innovations and products than existing products, while 40% of CEOs in the retail and consumer goods sectors are substantially or completely changing their organizational structure.
In our opinion, while the study found no single main cause for this reorganization, the rise in digital natives in the workforce is a key driver of businesses expecting greater ease and efficiency – and adapting as a result.
