Gartner® latest report “Identify Must-have Capabilities for Implementing Unified Retail Commerce in Today’s Environment” aim how CIOs Retail could be identify capabilities for successful of their commerce strategies and what goals and must-have needed to include on their teams to thrive.

To understand how retailer’s goals and must-have to thrive, Gartner Report highlight those goals are “demonstrate relevance to customer lies and preferences”, “deliver greater stakeholders value” and “enable associate digital dexterity”. And, in highlighting these goals, reinforce that “centralized or disparate approaches in the relationship between “the business” and “IT” hinder retailers’ digital transformation as we can see in the figure below.
